Last week I had the pleasure of attending Hoopers 30th birthday party with a few friends. Hoopers for those of you not familiar with the name is a luxury department store group located in quintessential English towns where the customer is at the heart of the shopping experience.
The evening consisted of canapés, vodka shots, Cava, a blues band, burlesque dancer, pop-up nail bars and of course lots of goodies. We did take advantage of the “unexpected” photo booth which left us in fits of giggles. We also tried on some of their fabulous clothing and while we didn’t get around to buying on the night I would say most of us will be back for Christmas shopping. Have a look at their offerings here.
Thanks again to our hosts Hoopers and the staff who were so attentive. It was a truly enjoyable night and we will definitely be returning.
Jumpers yesterday, skiwear today. Yes I know it’s only mid September but we have just booked a skiing holiday so of course the sartorial thoughts spring to mind. Our family and five other families, (yes I can see it going to be chaotic but great fun) have just arranged a week in Austria in February. I am so excited so I’ll just share some outfit inspiration with you. I’m sure there will be a few most posts before February on this topic so please forgive me.
These are my choice of jeans at the moment. They are so comfy and versatile. I had fantastic service from them acouple of weeks ago but I will do a separate post on jeans another time.
2. Breton Top. I have about 5 of these on the go at anyone time as they are very versatile. I am always on the look out for good quality ones and they turn up everywhere.
3. Isabel Marant beaded jewelry£110 from Net-a-Porter
I got these lovely friendship bracelets from my husband for my birthday and they are just so sweet.
This orange parka is incredibly cosy and I love the funky orange colour when the weather is a bit grey and cold.
These boots are great as the go with most outfits. I have had my eye on the Isabel Marant Dicker suede boots for a while but I just can’t bring myself to part with £325 for a pair. These are lovely and they have served me well all summer as they go with everything from summer dresses to shorts and jeans.
The village where we were staying had one very quirky pub called “the pigs nose”. It was packed and had a fantastic blues band playing. We had a rocking night. They had a family room with a pool table so the kids were well catered for. The whole family had a fantastic mini-break but it back to reality tomorrow!
We have just returned home from a very successful camping trip in Devon. The weather forecast wasn’t great but we managed to have a great day on the beach on Sunday and returned home today before the rain hit. There are some amazing stretches of coastline in South Devon which really take your breath away. The kids enjoyed playing on the beach for the day so everyone was happy. I have had a birthday recently and received the jewellery and the bag then from my lovely husband. The top and shorts I got earlier in the summer sales and I live in the havaianas brasil flip flops for most of the summer.
Since its a bank holiday weekend and rain is looming we are off camping with the family. Don’t get me wrong I love camping and the freedom it offers (or rather glamping). However, I have one bug bear and that’s Wellies. I just don’t think they suit me. I love them on other people but I’m just not sure I can carry them off. So in my quest to have dry feet I have found some shorter varieties that might work for me.
DUDLEY black short glossy Wellies from topshop £26
DIVER black zip front Wellies from topshop £30.
Black studded biker Wellies from new look £19.99
Studded short biker welly from Matalan £14.99.
Red glossy short Wellies by Hunter from Topshop £65.
I may be a bit late for this trip but I shall definitely start trying these.
