Double Denim

, ,

My pinterest radar seems to point repeatedly to double denim lately. Now don’t run away. It does conjure up line dancing images (nothing against line dancing or dancers but you know what I mean…), but with a few adjustments maybe it can be done. I think it just needs to be accessorized with simple jewellery, thin belts and feminine shoes. The most important factor is to have differing shades on top and bottom. Good luck! As usual I’ll leave you with some inspiration from pinterest.double denim1 double denim2double denim 4

Wish List

Why is there always another perfect pair of shoes to taunt me? I love these leather pointed toes flats from & Other Stories. At £45 they are quite a steal.

Levi’s 501’s

Ive been on the lookout for the perfect pair of jeans and been reminiscing on my 501’s from the nineties. These arrived from eBay today and didn’t disappoint and are as great as I remembered. Can’t wait to get styling.

Spring Stripes

Finally the temperatures are rising. Yesterday was a glorious, sunny, 17 degrees and I had to break out the Breton top for the occasion. To welcome the sun Mr Blueskies and I had to head to the beach with a flask on our lunchbreaks to catch some Vitamin D. Lush!

Urban Outfitters do a couple of good quality Breton shirts here and here. Just be careful though as these tops usually come with three quarter length sleeves which are a pain. I prefer to buy with full sleeves as they are easier to style.

Coveting : Exotic Boho Collection from H&M

H&M Exotic Boho

Loving this exotic Boho collection from H&M. Its a little pricier than normal but the quality is fabulous with leathers, suede, silk, appliqué and hand-sewn embroidery. It really reminds me of pieces from various Isabel Marant shows. I think my favourite piece is the waistocat as styled by Pernille Teisbæk from here. Be warned though, it is disappearing fast so get in there quick. What is your favourite piece?

Summer time

British summer time started this weekend. Can you believe it? I would be happy with a little glimpse of spring. I have had a few fabulous walks this weekend but while thawing out I have been dreaming of warmer climes. Take a look at some of my inspiration from my Pinterest boards. So I’m all ready to camp and swim, just need some slightly warmer weather.

Spring Fever – Wish List

Where do you start on this one? All of these pieces are seriously calling out to me but if I had to pick one piece it may well have to be the Silk shirt from Zara for versatility but please don’t make me choose…

On my radar – Pointed toes

, , , ,

I am loving all leather pointed toe ballet flats at the moment and I am just wishing that Spring would hurry up and do its stuff so we could maybe slip one of these lovelies on our feet. I am a boots girl for most of the year but it would be nice to try these heavenly pairs for a change before the sun really comes out and a pedicure is needed.
