I have been coveting this LBD from Topshop for a while but it was sold out for so long I was giving up hope. As soon as it returned I swooped and I am so glad I did. It’s a cross between nineties grunge and grown up glamour. It’s also really well made and will be so easy to dress up as well as being a simple summer dress.
it’s available here from Topshop.
Next week I am lucky enough to go away for a long weekend with some friends for some relaxation at the beach. While trying to decide what to bring, I have realised the trusted cut-offs are the staple for the majority of outfits. The tops and bikini might vary from day to day. Now I just need to think about night time…What is your holiday “uniform”?

A few weeks ago I was lusting after these beautiful shoes from &Otherstories. The sweetest thing happened in the form of a parcel arrived and guess what was in it. Yes these babies. I couldn’t believe it. Mr. Blueskies had taken it upon himself to order them. Now I wasn’t even aware he knew about the blog or how he came upon it so I was really taken by surprise but what a lovely one. So if you are reading this thank you so much. You are a sweety. I’m styling them like this at the moment.
Its that time of year again, neither hot nor cold and an embroidered, boho top covers a multitude of occasions and unexpected weather patterns. Right now pair it with boyfriend jeans and later in the summer it comes into its own for relaxed summer days with cuts offs, skirts or a simple cover up on the beach or poolside. There is plenty to choose from right now and as usual Isabel Marant is one of my favourites.
Here are some other of my current favourites
My pinterest radar seems to point repeatedly to double denim lately. Now don’t run away. It does conjure up line dancing images (nothing against line dancing or dancers but you know what I mean…), but with a few adjustments maybe it can be done. I think it just needs to be accessorized with simple jewellery, thin belts and feminine shoes. The most important factor is to have differing shades on top and bottom. Good luck! As usual I’ll leave you with some inspiration from pinterest.
